  • HEARTBREAKING NEWS: Is Kelly Monaco leaving the show permanently or just temporarily? Fans were “regretful” when they heard the actress’s answer

SPOILER ALERT! This story contains details from the Nov. 1 episode of General Hospital.

Friday’s episode of General Hospital marked the last time fans will see Kelly Monaco, whose surprise departure was revealed in August after she appeared in more than 2,200 episodes as Sam McCall.

The way that GH would say goodbye to Sam wasn’t clear until recently, when her decision to donate her liver to Lulu Spencer would prove fatal. On Oct. 30, it is learned that doctors successfully removed her organ but not without Sam losing her life in the process.

On Friday’s episode, Sam’s mom Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) broke it to Sam’s longtime love Dante (Dom Zamprogna) that Monaco’s character had a heart attack after surgery. Other characters learned Sam’s fate on Friday, as well, including Carly (Laura Wright), Sonny (Maurice Benard), Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Laura (Genie Francis) — who initially wondered if something happened to Lulu when she saw Dante crying with his son at the hospital.

“How can she be gone? It doesn’t make any sense!” exclaimed Dante, who then begged Alexis to tell him what happened.

“She was showing me her engagement ring,” replied Alexis, weeping. “Then she said she couldn’t breathe and then closed her eyes.”

Before Monaco’s final episode, Grahn posted this on X.

Monaco hasn’t said much since news of her ouster. On Oct. 6, the actress posted a picture on Instagram from her final scene on GH with the message “still doesn’t make any sense to me” but later deleted it.

She also posted a response to a fan on Soap Hub who opined that the actress left because she “didn’t take the pay cut.” In the since-deleted response reported by People, Monaco wrote, “‘No primary role’.. do your homework. When Billy Miller was fired, Sam’s storyline stopped. Stripping Sam of every characteristic she had. Something I worked for decades to build… Slowly dismantling her, into a character that I did not recognize, let alone the audience. Call it what you will… retaliation at it [sic] finest. I will give a proper statement. The truth will set you free.”

Not suprisingly, GH began trending on X by 1 p.m. because fans were mourning the departure of McCall. A petition was still circulating that called for the sudser to reverse her departure.

  • OMG SHOCKING NEW! Spinelli Discovers Sasha’s Pregnancy Test and Jumps to Conclusions About Maxie’s Pregnancy

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) will be spending more time at Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) place and getting to know the Scorpio clan better. Now that Sasha is officially part of the family, Maxie will want to do her part to make Sasha feel as welcome as possible.

Mac Scorpio (John J. York) may not be Maxie’s bio dad, but he’s certainly stepped up as a father figure for a huge chunk of her life.

Maxie will try to help Sasha bond with Mac now that they all know he’s Sasha’s uncle.

However, that could lead to some trouble and maybe even a comical situation.

There’s a good chance Sasha is pregnant following her drunken bedroom romp with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), so that’s going to lead to some issues.

At some point, Sasha will need to take a pregnancy test and could easily take an at-home one while visiting Maxie’s place.

What if Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) finds a positive pregnancy test in the trash and makes a wrong assumption?

It’d be pretty funny and definitely Spinelli-like for him to think Maxie’s got his bun in the oven.

Although Maxie and Spinelli wanted to take things slow at first, we have every reason to believe they’re hitting the sheets frequently by now.

Maxie has more than enough children, but Spinelli may soon fear there’s another one on the way!

Perhaps Sasha could take a pregnancy test after confiding in Maxie and get some support while awaiting the results.

Once the test potentially comes back positive, it could end up in the trash – just waiting for Spinelli to accidentally discover it and freak out.

Spinelli might start dropping hints to Maxie about babies as he tries to get her to make a confession.

Maxie could wonder what’s brought all this on until Spinelli finally comes clean about finding the pregnancy test.

Of course, that could force Maxie to spill Sasha’s baby secret to Spinelli and try to clear this mess up.

Whatever the case, our GH predictions point to Sasha finding out she’s expecting Michael’s child in the not-too-distant future.

Sasha’s pregnancy news could cause a whole lot of drama, so stay tuned for updates on her possible baby crisis.

General Hospital spoilers say Sasha and Michael’s night together could have big consequences, so don’t miss what’s in store for them.

  • NEW REVEAL: General Hospital spoilers: Drew tries to blackmail Jason by using Danny?

After some speculation about where General Hospital’s Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and Scout (Cosette Abinante) would go now that Sam (Kelly Monaco) is gone, in the episode airing on November 20, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) discovered Sam’s last will and testament. In it, Alexis learned that Sam’s dying wish was that her children be raised together and left in the custody of Drew (Cameron Mathison). However, Alexis made note of the fact that she wasn’t sure if Sam’s wishes were outdated, not modified upon learning that Jason (Steve Burton) is alive, or if Sam really didn’t want Jason raising Danny.

This custody arrangement of course isn’t just a done deal for a variety of reasons. For starters, since Jason is Danny’s biological father, Sam didn’t likely have the right to will their son to Drew. Jason may have been in and out of Danny’s life, but he’s never terminated his parental rights.

Now Jason may understand the importance of keeping Danny and Scout together, a notion that has been stressed several times in the wake of Sam’s demise, but Jason and Drew aren’t exactly besties despite being twins. And now that Jason and Drew got into a brawl at the Quartermaine Estate, Stone Cold may feel very strongly about Drew not raising his son. To Jason’s point, Drew already hurt one nephew when he slept with Michael’s (Chad Duell) wife, so Jason may think Drew is capable of hurting another nephew.

Then there’s the fact that Drew is a newly elected politician and is slated to head to Washington, D.C. in part to carry out his duties. If he’s given custody of Scout and Danny, would he move them to D.C.? If not, would he be an active parent bouncing and forth between D.C. and Port Charles?

That being said, for the time being, Drew may come to feel he’s holding all the cards here. Especially, with Alexis vowing to see to it that Sam’s wishes are fulfilled. So will Drew see this all as an opportunity to bargain with Jason for his own advantage?

Going back to the fight, after it happened, Drew asked Ric (Rick Hearst) to see Jason with a proposition. Drew agreed not to press charges against Jason, but wanted Jason to sign an NDA promising not to reveal the reason behind the fight. As a politician, Drew knows how damaging it could be if it ever became public knowledge that he was romantically involved with his nephew’s spouse. So, he wanted Jason to keep quiet. Jason refused to sign the document.

However, is it possible that Drew may use Danny to get what he wants? Again, there is a big push to keep Scout and Danny together, with Danny even wanting that to be the case. Even if Jason’s paternal rights over Danny are upheld and he agrees to move onto the Quartermaine property where Drew currently resides so Danny and Scout could theoretically live under the same roof, Drew could very well puff up his chest and threaten to move him and Scout to DC if Jason doesn’t agree to keep his mouth shut.

And let’s say in soapy fashion, the court rules that Sam’s wishes about her children’s placement are valid. Could Drew threaten to keep Jason away from Danny unless Jason agrees to keep his mouth shut about Drew’s affair with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen)? Jason would be in quite the bind that may see him agree to Drew’s demands.

While we know Drew going to such extremes would be incredibly low, given his antics these days, we can’t put it past him. In recent months, Drew’s ego has inflated, he’s become rather selfish and dare we say, a good guy turned bad. Should our theory about Drew ring true, he may not want to overplay his hand. Michael still has video footage of Drew and Willow’s betrayal, and that could easily destroy Drew’s new life.
