While Chock and Joan have both been at fault for over-stimulating their relationship with Bachelor Nation, I’m curious why they’re doing this much post-show. It’s possible they’re attempting to keep Bachelor Nation in the loop about their relationship, but I’m convinced that they’re simply trying to make their showmance look legitimate. While Chock and Joan’s relationship could be a true romance, it’s reading a lot more like showmance to me, making me wonder if The Golden Bachelorette couple is hoping to keep their following as they move into the new year and the next phase of their newly public lives.
Although Joan has been sharing a ton about her life with Chock, she’s not the only one in the relationship causing Bachelor Nation to struggle to see the relationship as legitimate. While Joan is posting consistently, it appears that Chock is pushing Joan into more of a spotlight. Joan revealed that she wasn’t interested in a live TV wedding early on in the season, but after her engagement to Chock, she’s changed her tune considerably. Now, Joan appears to be on board with a more public lifestyle, which many have attributed to Chock pushing her toward that more open direction.
