Speculation had been swirling for weeks, but now the news is official: Drew’s days on the show are numbered. While producers remain tight-lipped on the specifics, the confirmation has sent shockwaves through the devoted “GH” community. Could his exit be part of a grander storyline, or is this truly the last we will see of the complex and courageous Drew Cain?

Drew’s character, portrayed with depth and strength, has endured a whirlwind of dramatic twists, from his struggles with amnesia to his heart-wrenching battles for love and justice. His past as a Navy SEAL, his complicated relationship with Sam McCall, and his rivalry with Jason Morgan have cemented him as a key player in “General Hospital’s” rich tapestry of storytelling. But now, his future hangs in the balance.

Friday’s episode was boring for a Friday. Y&R – even though I missed 15 minutes due to unnecessary breaking news – and Beyond the Gates – which was in its first week premiere – were better than G.H.. We had to listen to Kristina yell about her baby she would most likely still have if she had only listened to Daddy and stayed away from Ava. Then we had to listen to Rick – who’s no better – yell at Alexis because she wasn’t supportive enough to Molly, who is an adult and acts more like an adult than Kristina, who is older than her. Alexis warned Kristina and Molly that Kristina being the surrogate was a bad idea… especially when they refused to take legal steps. Then I couldn’t believe after Sasha warned everyone as to the type of man Sid is, Lucy and Natalia – who was married to him and still looked a little surprised to hear Sasha say all that – are still willing to work with him. I think the more time Lucy spends with him, she’ll go missing and wish she had listened to Sasha. As much as I would hate to see Scout hurt by losing another parent, I wish someone would take care of Drew. He spends more time with Willow than he does with Scout. Maybe Jason will suggest that the PCPD look into Drew. After all, he is Jason’s identical twin. Jason could say the hairs they found are Drew’s. Fingerprints – which were not found are the only way to specifically identify which one of them really did it. They both have a motive for wanting Cyrus dead – the mother of their children – Sam. But I really want to know what makes everyone think he’s dead when there was no evidence and no body. Right now he should be considered a missing person, not a corpse. And when are they going to have Dex’s funeral? It’s been long enough. I’m begging to wonder if he’s really dead.
